BODY DYSMORPHOBIA OR MARKETING TRICK? – Madonna desperately seeking new hands!

Madonna has started wearing gloves again, an example of body dysmorphobia or another marketing trick?

Earlier this week the Daily Mirror revealed: “Madonna hates the appearance of her hands and says they are too ‘old lady. She’s managed to work wonders with her face over the past few years thanks to Dr. Frederic Brandt, but hands have always been the big age giveaway,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.
The 51 year-old is reportedly said to be being treated by Dr Fredric Brandt in an effort to give her hands a more youthful appearance.

 The pop star has recently been seen wearing hand gloves on two separate occasions and is said to have kept her hands in her pockets at a charity event. Has she started developing body dysmorphobia?

Hard to say because the aging of her hands has been noticed in the media since 2007. Madonna is known for spending about a half million pounds every year to look younger, and earlier this year a report was published on the ‘retouch’ of her hands. But likewise reports had occured in the media which clearly illustrate that just like Michael Jackson … Madonna is not able to turn back time.

But maybe there is another reason why Madonna has started wearing gloves. For, she’s not the only one: her daughter Lourdes has started wearing ‘gloves without fingers’ as well.

Actually, as a matter of fact, Lourdes has recently made her first steps in becoming a fashion queen! Not only will the singer’s daughter get her own designs out in stores this August with the Material Girl Collection – including a hand glove (!),  but she’s also turning fashion blogger to promote it.

So what do you think? Is Madonna wearing gloves because she simply likes them to wear – possibly because she is suffering on a body dysmorphic disorder? Or … has Madonna started wearing gloves again as a marketing trick – for promoting her daughter’s efforts?

The recent news about Megan Fox’s clubbed thumbs has generated a rainbow of negative responses. But probably miss Fox is not responsible her for the hand double replacement in the Motorola Super Bowl commercial – which was probably a decision made by the producers (last year a likewise report was noticed regarding the hands of Madonna). The hand of Madonna can no longer hide her age. Madonna is often discussed because of her tight body, she says it’s the result of a combination of yoga and pilates. Unfortunately for the 50-year-old Queen of pop her hands can no longer hide her age. The skin of Madonna’s hand is visibly older and the veins are very clearly visible. Whether Madonna will take her hands to a cosmetic surgeon she will likely never tell, because her other suspected plastic surgery was never folder out either. Sorry Madge, you can’t turn back time on the hands. However, after watching her perform, she still has the energy and drive of someone in their 20′s. Which would you rather have – her looks… or her energy?
